Authorised celebrants have an important role not only because of the legal consequence of marriage, but also because of its central significance to the parties, both individually and as a couple.
As an authorised celebrant, it is critical to my role to make sure that everything is done according to the Marriage Act and the Marriage Regulations, and that all necessary steps are taken to ensure the marriage will be valid.
